Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform routine and preventive maintenance on solar PV systems, including modules, trackers, inverters, and MV stations.

Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, and protection relays.

Carry out HV/MV/LV cable jointing, termination, and testing.

Assist in commissioning activities and ensure adherence to project specifications.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report equipment performance issues.

Comply with international standards (IEC, IEEE) and local regulations for electrical safety.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education: Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.

Experience: Minimum 5 years in electrical maintenance, with at least 3 years in solar PV projects.

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of solar PV systems (1500V DC), MV/HV substations, and protection systems.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, instrumentation, and computer-based interfaces.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office for reporting and documentation.

Certifications: Electrical safety training and relevant technical certifications.

Preferred Background

  • Experience in large-scale solar plants (>100 MWp).
  • Exposure to predictive maintenance and condition monitoring techniques.
