Key Responsibilities:

• Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and components in various settings (commercial/industrial).
• Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems and ensure compliance with standards.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Execute preventive maintenance programs to ensure the continuous and safe operation of all electrical systems and machinery.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as multimeters.
• Adhere strictly to Oman s electrical codes, safety standards, and company protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed, including materials used and time spent.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians on projects and provide technical support.
• Manage inventory of electrical supplies and tools, and place orders for new materials as needed.

Required Skills & Technical Proficiency:

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience as an Electrical Technician, preferably in an industrial or commercial setting.
• A relevant technical diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and all relevant safety procedures.
• Strong practical skills with hand and power tools used in electrical installations and repairs.
• Proficiency in using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment (e.g., Multimeters, Voltage Testers, Clamp Meters, Oscilloscopes).
• Ability to read and understand technical documentation, schematics, and blueprints.
• Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Building Management Systems (BMS) is a significant advantage.
• Basic computer skills for logging work, updating maintenance databases, and using email.
• A strong commitment to safety protocols and a spotless safety record.
• Possession of a valid Omani driving license is highly preferred.
