Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Install electrical wiring, conduits, cable trays, lighting systems, power outlets, switchgear, and control panels.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Assist in testing and commissioning of electrical systems.

Troubleshooting & Repairs

  • Diagnose electrical faults and carry out repairs promptly.
  • Use testing devices such as multimeters, insulation testers, and clamp meters.
  • Replace defective components, wiring, and fixtures.

Site Operations

  • Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and other trades on-site.
  • Ensure work is completed according to project timelines and quality standards.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and materials properly.

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow UAE electrical safety standards and company HSE policies.
  • Ensure compliance with DEWA/SEWA/ADDC regulations where applicable.
  • Report hazards, incidents, and unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Use proper PPE and maintain a safe working environment.

Documentation

  • Maintain maintenance logs and daily work reports.
  • Record completed work and material usage.

Desired Candidate Profile

Diploma or ITI Certificate in Electrical Engineering or related field.

  • Minimum 2 5 years of experience in electrical works within the construction industry.
  • UAE/GCC construction experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, panels, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read electrical drawings and layouts.
  • Familiarity with construction site procedures and safety practices.
  • Basic English communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in outdoor site conditions.
