Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary:

  • Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical wiring such as appliances and fluorescent fixtures by using hand tools and power tools.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems by using test equipment to locate the cause of a break down and correct the problem.
  • Troubleshooting/ inspect electrical systems to identify hazards and defects if need for adjustment or repair.
  • Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous and suitable solutions.
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters etc. To ensure compatibility and safety of system.
  • Work from ladders, scaffolds and roofs to install for maintain or repair electrical wiring.
  • Provide assistance during emergencies by operating generators and other equipment.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Willing to work under pressure with less supervision.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience.

Skills:

  • Installation of electrical wirings, equipment, machines or program to specifications.
