Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures according to the National Electrical Code and local regulations.
  • Diagnose electrical problems using specialized tools and equipment, ensuring timely and efficient troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other tradespeople to design and implement electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
  • Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or code violations and make necessary adjustments.
  • Install lighting systems, outlets, and circuit breakers while ensuring optimal energy efficiency and safety standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to plan electrical installations accurately.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols to minimize risks and hazards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients about project timelines and electrical solutions.
  • Stay updated on advancements in electrical technology and industry practices to enhance skills and service delivery.
  • Complete necessary documentation, including work orders and compliance reports, to ensure transparency and accountability.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Completion of a high school diploma or GED, with vocational training in electrical technology preferred.
  • A valid electrician's license or certification in the relevant state or region, demonstrating compliance with local regulations.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in electrical installation and maintenance within residential or commercial settings.
  • Familiarity with electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and safety.
  • Strong technical skills in using electrical testing equipment and hand tools to diagnose and repair issues accurately.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and resolve electrical malfunctions effectively and efficiently.
  • Good communication skills to interact with clients and team members, ensuring clarity in project requirements and updates.
