Job Scope:

As an Electrician Technician, you are responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role involves working with electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment to ensure safety, compliance with regulations, and efficient operation of electrical systems.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Installation and Wiring:

• Install electrical wiring, lighting fixtures, switches, outlets, and circuit breakers according to building codes, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Connect wiring to power sources, test circuits for proper functioning, and ensure electrical systems are installed safely and securely.

Maintenance and Repairs:

• Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems, including inspecting wiring, testing outlets, and replacing faulty components to prevent electrical issues.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems, identify root causes of malfunctions, and repair or replace damaged wiring, fuses, or circuit breakers as needed.

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations in all electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Follow safety protocols, use personal protective equipment, and implement proper grounding and insulation techniques to prevent electrical hazards.

Testing and Troubleshooting:

• Use testing equipment such as multimeters, voltage testers, and circuit analyzers to diagnose electrical problems, measure voltage levels, and verify circuit continuity.
• Test electrical systems for proper grounding, insulation resistance, and load capacity to identify and resolve issues affecting system performance.

Customer Service and Communication:

• Interact with customers to understand their electrical needs, discuss repair options, provide cost estimates, and address any questions or concerns related to electrical services.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients to coordinate service calls, schedule appointments, and ensure timely completion of electrical projects.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of electrical work performed, parts used, inspections conducted, and safety measures implemented during installations and repairs.
• Generate service reports, work orders, and documentation of electrical system performance to track maintenance schedules, document system conditions, and provide recommendations for improvements.
