Roles & Responsibilities
Job Summary:
- We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electromechanical Project Engineer to manage projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in both mechanical and electrical engineering, with hands-on experience in construction projects. This role requires a solid understanding of piping, steel, and electrical systems, along with strong organizational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Execution and Coordination:
- Assist in the development of project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate with a multi-disciplinary team, including engineers, technicians, and contractors, to ensure project tasks are completed on schedule.
- Manage project resources and procurement of materials.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and propose solutions.
- Prepare and present regular project updates to the project lead and stakeholders.
- Technical Oversight:
- Provide technical support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review and verify technical drawings, schematics, and project specifications.
- Ensure all work complies with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Troubleshoot technical challenges that arise during design, construction, and commissioning.
- Specific Construction Knowledge:
- Apply practical knowledge of piping construction, including material specifications, installation methods, and quality control.
- Oversee the fabrication and installation of steel structures, ensuring adherence to design and safety standards.
- Manage electrical systems, including power distribution, control panel wiring, and instrumentation.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction quality and progress.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in electrical, Mechanical, or Electromechanical Engineering.
- A minimum of 5-6 years of experience in engineering, with at least 2-3 years in a project-focused role.
- Demonstrated experience with projects involving piping, steel, and electrical construction.
Skills: - Project Management: Foundational knowledge of project management principles and experience with relevant software (e.g., MS Project).
- Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of both mechanical and electrical engineering concepts.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze problems and develop effective, practical solutions.
- Communication: Clear and effective communication skills for interacting with team members, contractors, and clients.
- Software Proficiency: Competency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) is required.
