About the Role

The Elementary Music Teacher will inspire young learners through creative, engaging music instruction that builds foundational skills, supports artistic expression, and nurtures a lifelong appreciation for the performing arts. The teacher will deliver a well structured international curriculum while contributing to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative school culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate music lessons for elementary-grade students

• Introduce students to musical concepts including rhythm, melody, dynamics, notation, and basic music theory

• Teach singing, movement, and the use of classroom instruments to support musical understanding

• Develop students performance skills through ensemble work, rehearsals, and concerts

• Integrate technology and creative tools to enhance music learning and student engagement

• Assess student progress using a range of formative and summative methods

• Create a supportive classroom environment that encourages confidence, creativity, and participation

• Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and school-wide events

• Contribute to the planning and execution of school performances, assemblies, and cultural celebrations

• Maintain positive communication with parents and contribute to the wider school community

Nice to Have

• Experience with international curricula

• Proficiency in using educational technology and music software

• Background in organizing student performances or extracurricular music programs

• Additional certifications or training in music specialties (e.g., Orff, Kod ly, Dalcroze)
