Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

As an Elevator Specialist at KILONEWTONS, you will be responsible for:

  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing elevator systems including traction, hydraulic, and machine-room-less (MRL) elevators.
  • Programming and troubleshooting elevator control systems using manufacturer-specific software and diagnostic tools.
  • Conducting routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and safety tests in accordance with regional regulations and manufacturer specifications.
  • Using maintenance management software (CMMS) for work orders, inventory tracking, and service reporting.
  • Strictly adhering to all KILONEWTONS and site-specific Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols, including working at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals on digital devices.
  • Coordinating with construction teams, project managers, and clients to ensure seamless integration of elevator systems.
  • Maintaining accurate service records, incident reports, and equipment documentation.
  • Responding to emergency call-outs and performing diagnostic analyses to resolve complex technical issues.

Desired Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of professional elevator installation and maintenance experience, with specific and verifiable experience in the Gulf region (GCC).
  • MUST HAVE proficiency with relevant elevator software and systems:
    • Elevator Control Systems (Otis, Schindler, KONE, or ThyssenKrupp proprietary software)
    • Diagnostic Tools and laptop-based testing equipment
    • CMMS for maintenance tracking and reporting
    • Blueprint Reading Apps for digital plan access
  • Valid elevator mechanic certification and relevant technical qualifications.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of elevator codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements in the Gulf region.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Physical fitness to work in demanding environments and handle emergency situations.
