Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed ELV system drawings, including schematics, riser diagrams, and layouts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
  • Create and modify ELV designs using AutoCAD or other relevant software, collaborating with engineers and project managers to meet project requirements.
  • Conduct site surveys to assess existing ELV infrastructure and gather necessary data for drafting new designs or modifications.
  • Prepare comprehensive bill of materials (BOMs) for ELV systems, accurately listing all required components and quantities.
  • Coordinate with other trades to ensure seamless integration of ELV systems with other building services, addressing any potential conflicts.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of relevant codes, standards, and regulations for ELV systems, ensuring compliance in all drawings.
  • Review and interpret project specifications, technical manuals, and vendor documentation to accurately translate requirements into drawings.
  • Participate in project meetings, offering technical expertise and contributing to the resolution of design-related issues.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Offers a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in ELV drafting, showcasing practical application of skills.
  • Possesses a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, providing a foundational understanding of ELV systems.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant software, enabling the efficient creation and modification of drawings.
  • Exhibits problem-solving abilities, capable of identifying and resolving design-related issues proactively.
