Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Review tender documents (drawings, specifications, BOQs, scope narratives, addenda) and track revisions Perform detailed quantity take-offs for all ELV systems from drawings and schematics Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates (materials, labor, tools, preliminaries, overheads, contingencies) Develop rate build-ups using UAE market pricing, labour productivity hours, and installation methodology Float RFQs and coordinate with suppliers/ELV specialists; verify technical and commercial compliance Prepare vendor and subcontractor comparison sheets and recommend best-value offers Identify scope gaps, inclusions/exclusions, interfaces, and assumptions Draft tender clarifications and qualifications Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings and incorporate access/pathway constraints into pricing Coordinate with MEP, IT, and project teams for scope validation and system integrations (BMS/FA/IT) Support value engineering with cost-effective, compliant alternatives Support post-award handover (budget split, basis of estimate, procurement list) Maintain unit rate database, preferred vendors, and historical cost records Requirements
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunications Engineering 4–7 years experience in ELV estimation/tendering within MEP/contracting companies Strong knowledge of ELV systems, installation practices, and UAE suppliers/brands Ability to read ELV drawings, schematics, risers, layouts, and specifications Strong skills in quantity take-off, rate analysis, and tender documentation Proficient in MS Excel (AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Planswift, CostX is an advantage) Strong coordination skills for MEP/IT/Architectural interfaces Job Type: Full-time
