Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) risk prevention.

Participate in identifying fire and emergency risks by conducting daily fire safety tours (Fire and Safety Hazard Identification).

Support in setting and achieving objectives, targets, and programs.

Conduct regular internal inspections with the Emergency Response (ER) team.

Provide regular ER training to all ER team members and relevant personnel.

Attend annual refresher ER training sessions.

Submit daily Emergency Response reports.

Conduct regular ER meetings.

Record ER-related training, inspections, and maintenance activities.

Record minutes of ER meetings.

Maintain operational readiness to respond to any project-related emergency.

Undertake inspections, installation, and maintenance for all fire suppression and fire systems on site.

Ensure all emergency facilities and equipment are in a constant state of readiness.

Attend ER team training in all aspects of mine rescue, including firefighting, breathing apparatus, Hazmat equipment, rope rescue, and motor vehicle rescue.

Respond to fire and evacuation drills periodically across the site.

Ensure all emergency vehicles are in a constant state of readiness.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • NEBOSH Certificate (mandatory).
  • Higher Certificate in Fire Technology from an accredited training institution, suitable rescue course, or equivalent experience.
  • Driving License (mandatory).
  • First Aid Certificate is an advantage.
  • Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience.
  • Previous experience in the mining industry is an advantage.
  • Experience as a member of a mine rescue team, emergency services organization, or similar.
  • Physically fit and able to pass pre-employment and medical examinations.
  • Strong understanding of emergency risks associated with operating a mine in an isolated location.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good command of English (written and spoken).
  • Proficiency in computer software applications.
  • Ability to write and present reports.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work with a diverse group of individuals.
  • Good communication skills with a high level of self-motivation and initiative.

Job Location & Accommodation arrangements:
Sukari Gold Mines, Red Sea Marsa Alam
(20 days onsite / 10 days off)
Home-to-site transportation provided
