1. Emergency Response Leadership

• Lead and command the Emergency Response Team during incidents (fire, rescue, medical, HAZMAT).
• Act as Incident Commander until relieved by higher authority.
• Ensure immediate and effective deployment of personnel and equipment.

2. Rescue Operations & Planning

• Plan and execute confined space and high-angle rescue operations.
• Ensure standby rescue coverage for high-risk activities (WAH, vessel entry, shutdown work).
• Supervise rope rescue systems, breathing apparatus, and emergency equipment.

3. Emergency Preparedness

• Develop, implement, and maintain Emergency Response Plans (ERP).
• Conduct emergency drills, mock exercises, and readiness checks.
• Ensure team competency through regular assessments and certifications.

4. Coordination & Communication

• Liaise with HSE, PTW Authority, and Operations teams for high-risk jobs.
• Coordinate with external emergency services when required.
• Maintain effective communication during emergencies and drills.

5. Training & Competency Development

• Train and mentor ERT members in firefighting, rescue techniques, and emergency procedures.
• Evaluate team performance and ensure continuous skill improvement.
• Promote strong safety awareness across the site workforce.

6. Equipment & Systems Management

• Ensure availability and operational readiness of:
• Firefighting systems
• Rescue equipment (tripods, winches, ropes)
• SCBA and gas detection systems
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks.

7. Incident Reporting & Investigation

• Lead post-incident analysis and root cause investigations.
• Prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Track closure of safety actions and improvements.
