Roles & Responsibilities

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Member of the technical support team working on projects in UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, other MEA
region (if applied) to achieve department and project objectives.
Receives and successfully understands and applies training on JCI Engineered Systems
equipment, selection/configuration tools and pricing systems
Uses standard JOHNSON CONTROLS development processes and tools in performing tasks.
Responsible for establishing an ongoing partnership with the customer on assigned projects.

DUTIES:

Leads or supports detailed development of projects.
Validates assumptions made during solution design. Builds a detailed cost estimate and scope of
work for assigned projects in conjunction with Field Sales.
Conducts detailed review of specifications, understands the specified requirements as well as
system concepts.
Select HVAC equipment (such as AHUs, FCUs, CRAC, Ecology, Fans and Chillers) and applies
it correctly and effectively as per customer RFQ.
Understands competitive products and the advantages of JCI portfolio offers. Developing
alternatives and optional offers that best serves the intent and position JCI advantageously.
Assists in preparing customer communication documents such as quotations, technical
submittals, presentations, and details product compliance statements. Utilizes / develops
specialized functional expertise as a technical support team member.
Performs detailed engineering or commercial analysis to quantify cost savings or other customer
benefits. Assists in technical or financial benchmarking as needed.
Plays an active role in cross-functional teams with the development of specific components of the
bundled sale. When needed, occasionally travels overseas to provide on location support to the
local teams in discussions and reviews internally or with customers.
Performs data collection at customer facilities required to perform solution design or detailed
development tasks and may provide post-contract design review support.
Assists in presentations to technical buyer as required.
Responsible for remaining current with relevant engineering or design standards and practices.
Participates in relevant professional organizations and works to secure relevant professional
certifications and licenses (e.g., Professional Engineering license).

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor’s degree Mechanical Engineering added advantage AC & Refrigeration specialization.
Five years’ experience in application/estimation of HVAC System (Equipment Selection, Costing

& Technical Submittal)

Entry level function-specific licenses or certifications preferred (e.g., Professional engineer,

Certifier energy carbon trader, Breem, LEED, etc.)

Works effectively in team settings and displays leadership.
Growing business analysis capabilities.
Must be a UAE national with a family book
