Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The job holder will develop and implement an employee relations strategy that is aligned with the company's organisational needs and objectives. Supports the development and implementation of HR policies, processes and systems for the entire company.

As well, undertakes a variety of roles and responsibilities in specific functional areas such as supervising all immigration and labour relation issues, managing the recruitment process for the Chairmans Office and preparing and supervising the company social gatherings and events.

Reports to the Director, Human Resources and communicates with the company Directors and Senior Managers when required.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Employee Relations:

  • Designs and implements an employee relations strategy and maintains related policy and procedures. Ensures compliance with government and legal regulations.
  • Organizes and directs daily employee relations matters and related activities such as managing employees leave/sick forms and conducting exit interviews.
  • Prepares and circulates internal memos and company announcements (e.g. public holidays and working hours).
  • Prepares and issues employment offers, final settlement and status notice in addition to embassy and bank letters. Maintains all related documents in employees personal files.
  • Manages employees expense reports (e.g. annual ticket, school fees, municipality parking and UAE ID) and maintains related documents in employees personal files.
  • Act as a reference point for all employees to address their concerns and problems. Assists in the resolution of disciplinary and grievance cases (e.g. acting as an arbitrator between the employees and their direct manager/supervisor).
  • Coordinates all employee relations and HR related matters with the company Branch offices in London, Iran, Baghdad and Erbil.
  • Leads on boarding process for new employees by explaining issues relating to the company policies, medical insurance and compensation & benefits schemes and any other relevant matters.
  • Provides guidance and advice to all staff in issues relating to employee relations including legal requirements and government regulations.
  • Creates and maintains personal files and folders for all employees and ensures confidentiality of information.

Recruitment:

  • Represents the company in the AUS career fair and arranges summer internships for potential candidates.

HR Policy Development, Support and Implementation:

  • Supports the development and implementation of HR policies, processes and systems for the entire company (e.g. implementation of HRMS system Success Factors).
  • Participates in the formation of specific HR policies especially those relating to employee relations and other HR policies such as training and performance management.

Social Gatherings and Events:

  • Coordinates with the HR Director and other relevant staff as Content Analysis to organize and prepare all required procedures for annual company gatherings or parties (e.g. Ramadan Iftar).
  • Liaises and negotiates with event providers and hotels to get the best possible rates for the company's social gatherings and special occasions.

Administration Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates with ADMIN staff regarding issues such as accommodation, transportation, hotel and travel arrangements to ensure staff or visitor needs are addressed properly.

Reporting and Communication:

  • Reports to the Director, Human Resources about all employee relations issues, immigration and labor relations activities and any other relevant responsibilities.
  • Maintains and exhibits excellent working relationships with all staff and communicates all necessary information to them.

Continuous Development of Position:

  • Conducts research on employee relations practices and legislation framework and keeps up to date with all HR trends and patterns. Recommends subsequent strategies and plans.

Desired Candidate Profile

Degree in Business Management and or/Human Resources, or relevant Employee Relations experience or Certification

  • 10 to 15 years of total HR experience, with at least 5 to 7 years specifically focused on employee engagement, culture, or organizational development initiatives.
  • Strong grounding in HR strategy, culture transformation, and internal communications.
  • Demonstrated success in designing and executing engagement frameworks, surveys, and recognition programs.
  • Must be an Arabic speaker.
  • Excellent communication (written & verbal skills) in English.
