Objective/Purpose:

The objective of this training workshop is to strengthen the technical and institutional capacity of local government entities in Duhok Governorate, Zakho Independent Administration, and social partners to effectively plan, and implement EIIP projects under the Public Works Programme (PWP).

Specifically, the training aims to:

• Enhance understanding of EIIP principles and methodology
• Strengthen capacity in labour-based infrastructure planning and costing
• Promote the integration of decent work principles into public works
• Improve environmental and climate-sensitive project design
• Support inclusive targeting of women, youth, IDPs, refugees, and host communities
• Facilitate alignment with the National Public Works Programme framework

The pilot phase in KRI will further enable the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) to scale up the programme through diversified funding mechanisms.

Event date from/to: 1-4 June 2026 (09:00 AM 04:30 PM) Location: Duhok.

Number of Participants: 25 participants.

The workshop will host approximately 25 participants, including representatives from:

• Directorate of Sewage Duhok
• Directorate of Environment Duhok
• Zakho Independent Administration
• Trade Union
• ILO technical staff

The final number of participants will be confirmed prior to the event for logistical planning purposes.

The hotel management should be in agreement with posters, flip charts, sticky notes and other pieces to be sticked to the walls with sticky tape.

The detailed priced BOQ per above table breakdown is needed to be provided to ILO Conditions that must be met in the hall:

1. The halls should have enough space for sitting including registration table at the entrance, per each day
2. The hall should have easy access to a minimum of 2 toilets
3. The hotel should have full considerations for disability access
4. The Hall should be sufficiently bright with good light and air conditions.
5. The hotel shall arrange for fully functional electronic and audio-visual equipment and workshop materials (such as banners and/ or flags banners, data shows, wireless microphones, audio systems, teleconference equipment, etc.)
6. Flipcharts with stands, whiteboard with paper, and markers
7. Meeting signage including company logo to guide your guests.
