Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The position
The position
You will be joining the Project Management & Operations division and more specifically the Bioclimatic Modeling and Design Unit (CMCB) of TERAO.
The CMCB is one of TERAO's main centers of expertise where advanced and high value-added technical studies are carried out, including: Dynamic Thermal Simulations (for the precise calculation of energy consumption, sizing of installations, etc.), CFD studies indoors and outdoors, thermal and light comfort studies, Urban Heat Island (UHI) studies, solar irradiance studies, etc.
Missions:
Simulate the behavior of the building (DesignBuilder), to deduce a summary of consumption and subsequently be able to propose improvement scenarios.
Intervention in different climatic and operational contexts.
Coordination with the CMCB on the company's knowledge development (Bioclimatic design and building physics, new technical solutions, etc.). You formalize and communicate these topics to the entire team on a case-by-case basis.
Desired profile
Profile :
Education level: higher education (Bac +4/5) in engineering school or scientific universities.
Desired experience :
3 to 5 years of experience in thermal modeling of buildings.
STD/SED practice in CREM/MGP according to IPMVP option D
Experience in calibrating SED models on existing buildings and in regulatory calculations
Expected technical skills:
You are comfortable with the principles of thermodynamics and building physics
Thermal and energy modeling of buildings and their HVAC equipment
Strong scientific curiosity / Proficient in English
Software proficiency: Microsoft Office, DesignBuilder and ClimaWin
