Engine Mechanic Goltens Co. Ltd. Dubai Branch

Key Responsibilities:

• Engine Overhaul and Repair:
  Perform mechanical overhauling, reconditioning, and repairs of 2-stroke and 4-stroke marine diesel engines and their components.
  Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, and diagnostics to identify engine failures and performance issues.
  Disassemble and reassemble engine components, including cylinder heads, liners, pistons, connecting rods, crankshafts, and turbochargers.
  Recondition engine parts such as fuel pumps, fuel injectors, water pumps, and lubricating oil pumps.
• On-site Services:
  Travel to customer locations (onboard ships, industrial plants) to perform on-site repairs, maintenance, and overhauls.
  Set up and operate specialized tooling and equipment for in-situ machining and other on-site services.
  Perform engine alignment, crankshaft inspections, and laser-based measurements.
• Technical and Documentation:
  Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and repair specifications.
  Prepare and submit detailed service reports, including data records, measurements, and a list of work performed, upon job completion.
  Generate spare parts lists required for overhauls and repairs.
  Ensure all testing and monitoring equipment is properly identified, maintained, and calibrated.
• Safety and Quality:
  Adhere strictly to all company and client safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
  Participate in daily toolbox meetings and prepare risk assessments for assigned job scopes.
  Maintain the workshop, plant equipment, and tools in good working order and ensure good housekeeping at all job locations.
  Ensure adherence to all quality systems and requirements to minimize reworks and customer complaints.
• Communication and Teamwork:
  Communicate proactively with the supervisor, team members, and clients to provide timely updates on job status and technical issues.
  Coordinate with internal departments for the timely completion of allocated jobs.
  Demonstrate strong teamwork skills and the ability to work professionally and efficiently under pressure.
