Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

As Logistic Specialist you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the efficient transportation, storage, and distribution of goods to ensure timely delivery and cost-effective operations

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Support the management of logistics, warehouse and transportation
  • Coordinate and optimize the full logistic cycle
  • Liaise and negotiate with suppliers
  • Keep track of quality, delivery times, transport costs, and efficiency, including supplier performance
  • Arrange warehousing and process shipments
  • Resolve any arising problems or complaints
  • Meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets
  • Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance against agreed service levels and implement improvements.
  • Comply with laws, regulations, and requirements.
  • Support the implementation of contractual service levels with Freight Forwarders, track their performance and make suggestions to improve performance against agreed KPI
  • Ensure correct supplier invoicing
  • Provide Bid-Support with shipping quotes and cost calculations

Desired Candidate Profile

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of import/export regulations and compliance documentation
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
  • Understanding of international trade, incoterms, and customs procedures
  • 2+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation management
  • Proven experience managing freight forwarders and third-party logistics (3PL) providers
  • Experience in negotiating with suppliers and handling vendor relationships
  • Hands-on experience with warehousing operations and shipment processing
  • Experience in data analysis and logistics performance metrics
  • Experience in logistics for international operations, including import/export compliance and Incoterms.
  • Effective communication
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Problem solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Strong organization and time management skills

NICE-TO-HAVE:

  • Professional certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., APICS CPIM/CSCP, CSCMP, CILT, or similar)
