Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary: Maintain all plants firefighting equipment and systems in accordance with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). Provide all required technical supports as needed for fire team to perform inspection and testing of emergency response equipment and to control the emergencies. Role responsibilities: • o Develop, review, and implement all firefighting policies and procedures in accordance with Tasnee Fire Protection Standard, NFPA codes and any local legislation ( HCIS SAF directives ) o Directs and participates in planning of emergency response, as per fire emergency pre-plan. o Review fire reports (daily supervisor report, fitness report … etc) and determine required actions and facilitate progress and provide feedback to fire assurance/concern parties. o Participate with all fire Risk Assessment, MOC and Investigations. o Communicate with all Productions department’s and ascertain the requirements to maintain fire precaution equipment. o Support fire team during alarm and provide all required technical support at the scene of emergency. o Prepare all reports showing the status of all fire precaution equipment. o Communicate “whenever needed” with Tasnee, JAMA’A and all petrochemical industries of Jubail with regards to fire equipment issues, benchmarking, etc. o Coordinate maintenance activities related to fire station facility and equipment, using HCIS SAF directives. o Alert for any deficiencies on fire and gas system and provide resolution plan. o Analyze data, review the reports and provide action plans to improve fire performance. o Ensure the PM/CM compliance with fire equipment and fire trucks. o Evaluate and maintain inspection, testing and maintenance records as per requirement. o Provide required technical evaluations for contracts and projects. o Review and proceed with the packages related to fire projects to obtain HCIS approval o Review, enhance and facilitate IMRS16 and ensure full compliance. o Create and maintain the SAP entities for emergency response equipment. o Deliver fire training as per competency training plan. o Cover Fire SI responsibilities during his absence. o Review and update fire section procedures. Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Fire Engineering or Equivalent Degree Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial as Fire Protection Engineer, with certification in: • o Firefighter – Level II o Hazmat o Rescue Skills and Competencies: • o Incident Investigation skills o Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. o Excellent Organizational skills. o Understanding of department plant / functional process. o Ability to recognize EHSS related gaps & common themes. o Ability to categorize preliminary risk levels. o Ability to classify incidents categories.
