Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We have a requirement with Dubai for the role of Engineer Protection & Control Maintenance
Protection System Maintenance
- Perform maintenance of protection relays (Numerical & Electromechanical) from OEMs like Siemens, ABB, Schneider Electric, GE
- Handle Distance, Differential, Overcurrent, and Transformer Protection schemes
- Carry out relay setting, configuration, and coordination
Testing & Commissioning
- Conduct Primary & Secondary Injection Testing
- Perform relay calibration and functional testing
- Support commissioning activities for new substations/equipment
Substation Maintenance
- Maintenance of EHV/HV substations (132kV / 220kV / 400kV)
- Work on Circuit Breakers (SF6/Vacuum), CT/PT, and switchgear
- Ensure proper functioning of busbar protection and feeder protection
Automation & Control
- Work with SCADA, RTU, and Substation Automation Systems (SAS)
- Knowledge of IEC 61850, Modbus communication protocols
- Troubleshoot control wiring, interlocks, and annunciation systems
