Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop structural designs and calculations for oil and gas process plant facilities, ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards like AISC, API, and ASME.
  • Lead the structural analysis and design of complex structures, including pipe racks, equipment foundations, and buildings, using software such as or SAP
  • Prepare and review structural drawings, specifications, and reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness for construction.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including process, mechanical, and civil engineers, to integrate structural designs seamlessly.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
  • Perform load calculations and stability analyses, considering various load cases such as dead, live, wind, seismic, and blast.
  • Evaluate and provide recommendations for structural modifications and repairs, addressing issues arising during construction or operation.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to structural engineering in the oil and gas sector.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical expertise and support in structural design and analysis.
  • Participate in HAZOP studies and safety reviews, ensuring structural integrity and safety of the plant facilities.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field from an accredited university. Available immediate to join.
  • Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience in structural design within the oil and gas construction process plant industry.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software such as , SAP2000, or similar tools is essential.
  • Strong understanding of relevant industry codes and standards, including AISC, API, ASME, and local building codes.
  • Experience with design of various structural elements, including steel structures, concrete foundations, and pipe racks.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information clearly.
