Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Conceptualize and design of new parts or improvement of existing parts, components and style elements for exterior and interior bus body
Achieve innovation-driven results, targeting to enhance appearance, function, quality, cost, weight as well as production efficiency
Calculates and defines key features to meet required functional specifications using standard reference books or procedures.
Uses computer programs (CAD software) for detailed design, generating parts lists and specifications.
Give support to the prototype team during the preparation of molds, making the interfaces required.
Development of products, proposing new concepts and solutions, or improving current products, according to the technological evolution, ergonomic and safety rules.
Support manufacturing processes and material selections to achieve world class execution of automotive exterior craftsmanship and fit and finish.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor s degree in Automotive Engineering, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Excellent in Creating sketches by freehand drawing is a must.
Excellent Combination of creative aesthetics with a practical understanding of engineering/materials and production systems
Ability to transfer created sketches to a 3D software.
Proficiency in 3D modeling utilizing CATIA V5/V6 or similar CAD software
Industrial design preferably with specialization in automotive
Preferable to understand bus designs.
Knowledge of design for manufacturing principles of various commodities preferred
Strong understanding of engineering principles, mechanics of materials and the ability to think out of the box
Expertise with Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) during design, validation and/or launch of products preferred
