Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Demonstrate personal SHES leadership and excellent SHES behaviours at all times. Perform as a safety leader through setting and exhibiting the highest safety standards of behavior and actions to the workforce. Actively participate in Toolbox Talks, Task Instructions and site safety walkthroughs.
Deliver high quality marine expertise, innovative solutions, ensure marine engineering activities are conducted in accordance with local regulatory/RLIC requirements, codes and standards, project specifications and industry practices. Ensure that Contractors/Subcontractors are conducting marine engineering design in accordance with project requirements, specifications, and safe practices.
Resolve marine related discipline issues timely to ensure engineering designs meet Project's expectations and objectives.
Ensure approved marine/design recommendations and programs are utilized by the Project to improve design integrity, reduce inefficiencies, and maintain high safety and risks standards.
Steward Contractors' marine related design and execution activities in accordance to specifications, verify adequacy of Contractor resources and personnel competency for the tasks, employment of appropriate tools including use of approved technical software.
Coordinate and analyse discipline issues for resolution. Provide marine engineering input to other engineering disciplines, construction, procurement, Quality etc as necessary. Support FEED, commissioning and system completion activities and make appropriate recommendations to management on civil structural discipline matters.
Tracking and reporting of the request received from RLIC port authority for issues related to the berth area and dredging works.
Monitor Contractor progress within the area of responsibility.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in sciences, marine disciplines, or engineering or Diploma in marine or nautical disciplines, and STCW II/2, STCW III/2 Certification.
8 years seagoing experience as a shipboard engineer or sea office, including 1 year as Chief Engineer or Master.
Knowledge of oil and gas industry bodies, national and international maritime and shipping regulations.
Knowledgeable in International Maritime Regulations, Codes and Standards.
Experienced in handling and managing offshore marine units operating in the oil and gas industry.
Experience in berth design and Seabed dredging is an advantage.
Brownfield engineering and execution knowledge
Experience in berths design and marine related studies/simulations including metocean studies, hydrodynamic and current studies, dynamic mooring analysis, etc.
Experience in LNG and/or liquid product berths is preferred
Experience with marine piles
