Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Procurement department ensures efficient outsourcing and contracting of all aircraft-related commodities, including fleet, power plants, and equipment. Organized by commodity lines such as avionics, power plants, and airframe systems, we collaborate with engineering, finance, legal, and insurance teams to meet business needs with optimal terms. We manage supplier relationships and oversee warranty and product support, including contract administration and digital archiving. Our team negotiates extensively to secure and administer top product support, ensuring the highest standards of performance and integrity for our aircraft.
Engineering Repairs Coordinator (Cabin & IFE) is responsible to support the efficient management of aftermarket repair, overhaul, and modification processes for components, engines, and APUs. The role ensures optimal cost, adherence to agreed repair turnaround times (RTAT), and effective coordination across internal and external stakeholders.
In this role you will:
Generic
- Facilitate clear and timely communication across stakeholders to enable effective end-to-end planning and process control.
- Coordinate with Material Planning, Overhaul Workshops, Fleet Technical Management, and other stakeholders to support Material Service Level KPIs.
- Liaise with repair service providers to ensure all repair processes are executed efficiently and in line with operational requirements.
Specific Power Plant Repair
- Monitor, review, and expedite repair orders daily, with focus on critical shortages, nil-stock items, and AOG situations.
- Evaluate repair quotations, ensuring accuracy of work scope, warranty disposition, and costs; prepare justifications and submit for approval as per the Limit of Authority.
- Review scrap dispositions in accordance with contractual terms, economic thresholds, and warranty applicability; prepare disposal justifications for approval.
- Maintain regular communication with Engine Maintenance Centres and repair providers to ensure availability of required materials and timely support of engine repairs.
Specific Component Repair
- Inspect and process unserviceable items from Maintenance, Overhaul Workshops, and Warehouse; escalate discrepancies and ensure accurate data prior to repair order creation.
- Initiate scrap disposal processes for components deemed beyond economical repair, providing full justification as required.
- Ensure proper stacking, handling, and packaging of unserviceable parts in line with safety and space-utilisation standards.
- Coordinate shipment of serviceable parts to outstations and manage AOG-related dispatches in alignment with priority requirements.
- Coordinate with suppliers and freight forwarders to ensure safe transportation and accurate system updates.
- Extract and analyse data on In-House Capability and Alternate Repair & Supply options to support decision-making.
Specific EEMC Component Repair
- Ensure repair orders comply with engine manual requirements and address discrepancies with Production Inspectors.
- Verify inclusion of all applicable Service Bulletins (SB) and Airworthiness Directives (AD) in the repair work scope.
- Ensure all outgoing repair orders have complete documentation for processing.
- Coordinate internally and externally to resolve vendor queries and issue revised repair orders as needed.
- Maintain vendor and part-level repair-order performance data to support vendor management activities.
To be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:
- 12 years of schooling or equivalent.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in airline supply chain, procurement, MRO, repairs management, material planning, inventory control, or related functions.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Engineering Materials & Stores.
- You will have an edge if you have supervisory experience in Engineering Repairs Management within an airline, MRO, or large engineering organisation.
