Position Overview
La Cigale Hotel in Doha, managed by Accor, is hiring an Engineering Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations, ensure smooth functioning of technical systems, and lead the engineering team during assigned shifts. The role requires strong technical expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, with the ability to manage preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure guest satisfaction.

Core Duties

* Supervise engineering staff during assigned shifts to ensure smooth operations
* Oversee preventive maintenance programs and emergency repair work
* Monitor and maintain all hotel systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and brand standards
* Maintain records of maintenance tasks, incidents, and equipment inventory
* Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests, minimizing disruptions
* Collaborate with other hotel departments to support operations and guest services
* Provide training, mentoring, and guidance to junior engineering staff
* Promote continuous improvement and adherence to departmental procedures
* Assist in vendor management and oversee outsourced technical service providers

Candidate Profile

* Prior experience in a supervisory engineering role within hospitality or related industry
* Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
* Excellent leadership and team management abilities
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-focused approach
* Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
* Technical qualifications or certifications in engineering, facilities, or maintenance are preferred
