Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and effective English language instruction to students in accordance with the National / American curriculum standards.

  • Develop comprehensive lesson plans that foster critical thinking, creativity, and language proficiency.
  • Assess and monitor student progress through formative and summative evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support growth.
  • Incorporate technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance classroom learning experiences.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to align teaching strategies and curriculum objectives.
  • Participate in professional development sessions and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
  • Support students in extracurricular activities, language clubs, or academic competitions as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance in compliance with school policies.

Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching English at the elementary, middle, or high school level.

  • Demonstrated expertise in delivering curriculum aligned with IB and/or American educational standards.
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities in English.
  • Ability to integrate technology and digital resources into teaching practices.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within a diverse team.
  • Flexibility to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of different learners.
