Roles & Responsibilities
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct insect surveys, collecting data on insect populations, distribution, and behavior.
- Develop and implement effective pest management strategies using integrated pest management (IPM) principles.
- Design and execute experiments to test new technologies and products related to entomology.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions for agricultural production systems.
- Provide technical support to farmers, extension agents, and other stakeholders on best practices in insect control.
Desired Candidate Profile
- 5-10 years of experience in entomology or a related field.
- B.Sc degree in Agriculture or equivalent qualification; M.Sc preferred.
- Strong knowledge of bioassays, insect husbandry, morphology, taxonomy, vector surveillance, and IPM techniques.
