Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Department Definition:
The department is responsible for preparing and qualifying students in advanced science fields to participate in local and international scientific Olympiads through specialized training programs, academic partnerships, and continuous performance monitoring in line with international standards, contributing to enhancing the country s scientific excellence and competitiveness. The Entrepreneurship & Innovation Specialist is responsible for planning, executing, and managing student preparation programs in Advanced Sciences, including chemistry, physics, mathematics, and biology. The primary goal is to qualify students for participation in local and international scientific Olympiads. The role involves designing specialised training programs both domestically and internationally and coordinating with universities, academic institutions, and relevant stakeholders. Additionally, the specialist is tasked with engaging subject matter experts and trainers, overseeing the execution of national Olympiads, and ensuring student readiness according to international standards. This includes monitoring performance, measuring results, and achieving competitive excellence for the nation on the global stage.
Main Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a national plan to qualify students for International Scientific Olympiads.
- Oversee domestic and international training programs in coordination with universities and relevant authorities.
- Organize and implement National Scientific Olympiads according to approved competitive standards.
- Select and nominate students based on rigorous scientific evaluation mechanisms.
- Coordinate with universities and research institutions to build strategic partnerships that support the programs.
- Conduct periodic benchmarking with leading countries in Scientific Olympiads, analyzing gaps and proposing improvement plans.
- Attract and engage experts, academics, and specialized trainers in various scientific fields.
- Monitor student performance, analyse results, and develop individualised development plans.
- Prepare periodic progress reports on achievements and provide strategic recommendations for development.
Skills
- 8+ years of professional experience in the education sector, preferably in advanced science education, talent development, or competitive academic programs.
- A bachelor s degree in one of the advanced science disciplines (Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Biology) or within a relevant field.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing national-level programs for preparing students for international and local scientific Olympiads.
- Proven ability to develop and manage specialized training programs inside and outside the country in coordination with universities and relevant institutions.
- Strong experience in organizing and executing scientific Olympiads in accordance with internationally recognized competitive standards.
- Ability to apply scientific assessment tools and methodologies for selecting, evaluating, and nominating high-potential students.
- Proven capability to build and manage strategic partnerships with universities, research institutions, and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills, including benchmarking with leading countries, performance analysis, gap identification, and development of improvement plans.
- Experience in recruiting and managing experts, academics, and specialized trainers in scientific fields.
- Excellent reporting and documentation skills, with the ability to prepare periodic performance reports and development recommendations.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders and present insights effectively.
- Innovative mindset with the ability to foster a high-performance, competitive, and excellence-driven learning environment.
- Strong English & Arabic reading writing.
- Strong English & Arabic speaking.
Desired Candidate Profile
A bachelor s degree in one of the advanced science disciplines (Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Biology) or within a relevant field.
A master s degree or specialized certifications in gifted education, innovation, or competitive team preparation is an advantage.
