Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive environmental assessments to identify potential impacts of projects, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Develop and implement environmental management plans that incorporate best practices for sustainability and resource conservation.
  • Monitor environmental conditions and report on compliance with regulatory standards, utilizing advanced data analysis techniques.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including community members and regulatory agencies, to foster transparent communication and build trust.
  • Conduct training sessions for employees on environmental policies and procedures, promoting a culture of environmental responsibility.
  • Perform site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to environmental regulations and identify areas for improvement.
  • Research and stay updated on emerging environmental laws and technologies to provide informed recommendations.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate environmental considerations into project planning and execution.
  • Facilitate environmental impact studies and prepare detailed reports for regulatory submissions, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Advocate for innovative solutions to reduce waste and enhance recycling efforts within the organization.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees are highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience in environmental compliance, management, or consultancy.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Environmental Professional (CEP) or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) are advantageous.
  • Experience in regulatory frameworks, including EPA regulations and local environmental laws.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and environmental modeling software, such as GIS or AutoCAD.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • A proactive attitude towards sustainability and a passion for environmental conservation.
  • Ability to perform fieldwork, including outdoor inspections and monitoring in various weather conditions.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus for international collaboration.
