Job Summary

The Epoxy Applicator is responsible for preparing surfaces and applying epoxy coating systems to concrete and steel substrates in accordance with project specifications, manufacturer guidelines, and quality standards. The role requires hands-on experience in surface preparation, mixing, and application of epoxy systems for industrial and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform surface preparation including grinding, shot blasting, sandblasting, and cleaning to achieve required surface profile.

• Inspect surfaces for defects such as cracks, honeycombing, and contamination before application.

• Mix epoxy materials (resins, hardeners) in correct ratios as per manufacturer instructions.

• Apply epoxy coatings using rollers, brushes, or spray equipment.

• Ensure proper coating thickness (DFT) as per project requirements.

• Carry out repair works including crack filling, leveling, and patching using epoxy mortars.

• Follow all method statements, ITPs, and safety procedures.

• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

• Assist in quality control checks, including thickness measurement and visual inspections.

• Work closely with supervisors and QA/QC engineers to meet project timelines and quality standards.
