Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

To ensure that all strong>static and rotating equipment/strong> fabricated, installed, and tested at the offshore fabrication yard comply with strong>project specifications, approved drawings, applicable codes/standards, and client requirements/strong>.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Inspection of Mechanical Equipment
    • Inspect fabrication, installation, and preservation of:
      • strong>Static Equipment/strong>: Pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, separators
      • strong>Rotating Equipment/strong>: Pumps, compressors, turbines, winches
      • strong>Packages & Skids/strong>: HVAC units, diesel generators, lifting equipment skids
  2. Inspection Activities & Testing
    • Review and implement approved strong>ITPs, Method Statements, and Procedures/strong>
    • Conduct inspections during:
      • Incoming material inspection
  3. Vendor & Data Book Review
    • Review vendor documents such as:
      • Datasheets and drawings
      • Manufacturing record books (MRBs)
  4. Quality Control & Documentation
    • Review and approve:
      • Material Inspection Reports (MIR)
      • Inspection reports and checklists
  5. Preservation & Storage
    • Ensure proper preservation and storage of equipment:
      • Rust prevention
      • Environmental protection
