Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Review Tender Documents – Analyze drawings, BOQs, and specifications to understand the scope for fire alarm, firefighting, ventilation, and emergency/exit lighting systems.

  2. Quantity Take-Off & Costing – Prepare accurate material take-offs and develop detailed cost estimates including materials, labour, and equipment.

  3. Vendor Coordination – Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring competitive and compliant pricing.

  4. Technical Compliance – Ensure all estimates meet Civil Defense requirements and relevant standards (NFPA, BS) and coordinate for clarifications.

  5. Proposal & Support – Prepare techno-commercial proposals, provide value engineering options, and support tender submission and post-tender negotiations.

Desired Candidate Profile

  1. Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering

  2. Experience: 5–7 years of relevant experience in MEP estimation, specifically in fire alarm, firefighting, ventilation, and emergency/exit lighting systems

  3. UPDA (Minimum Grade C) –mandatory

  4. QCDD certification – mandatory

  5. Qatar Driving License – preferred
