Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed cost analysis and prepare accurate project estimates by reviewing technical specifications and drawings.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to gather necessary information and clarify project requirements.
  • Utilize advanced estimation software and tools to streamline the estimation process and ensure precision.
  • Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate terms to achieve the best value for the project.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of costs and pricing information to support future estimates and project planning.
  • Analyze historical data and market trends to forecast costs and identify potential savings opportunities.
  • Prepare and present detailed estimation reports to stakeholders, highlighting key assumptions and methodologies used.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout the estimation process.
  • Continuously improve estimation processes by implementing best practices and leveraging new technologies.
  • Participate in project reviews and post-mortems to refine estimation accuracy and improve future project bids.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is essential.
  • Minimum 10 years of work experience in cost estimation within the construction or engineering industry.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst (CCEA) or similar credentials are preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in cost analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present information.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Demonstrated understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards is crucial.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus for multinational projects.
  • Proactive mindset with a problem-solving attitude, able to identify challenges and propose practical solutions.
