Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Estimation Engineer to join our team. This role is a critical link between design, production, and site execution, responsible for preparing accurate, competitive bids for fabrication / installation projects including tanks, pressure vessels, piping, and heavy steel structures.


  • Cost Estimation & Tendering: Review tender documents, IFC drawings, P & ID and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates and techno-commercial proposals.

  • BOM Preparation: Generate accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) and perform precise quantity take-offs for plates, pipes, structural steel, and specialized fittings.

  • Project Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between production teams and site personnel to ensure fabrication methods align with estimated costs and timelines.

  • Client & Vendor Interaction: Lead client coordination meetings to clarify scopes and negotiate with vendors to obtain the best market pricing for materials and sub-contracts.

  • Site Evaluation: Conduct site visits for quantity verification and to assess installation sequences or any other constraints..

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience estimating for API Storage Tanks, Pressure Vessels,  piping and steel structures

  • Software Proficiency: Strong skills in AutoCAD and MS Excel, Experience with ERP systems is a plus.

  • Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with international codes (API 650, ASME Sec VIII, API 4F) and fabrication processes and welding.

  • Soft Skills: Excellent negotiation and communication skills for effective stakeholder management.

  • Valid UAE Driving License
