Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and tender submissions for construction and interior fit-out projects. This role plays a critical part in securing projects by analyzing drawings, specifications, and project requirements to develop competitive and realistic pricing..


Key Responsibilities

  • • Analyze tender drawings, specifications, and contract documents to understand project scope.

  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and BOQs for civil, architectural, and fit-out works.

  • Obtain and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.

  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions within deadlines.

  • Review and validate technical and commercial aspects of subcontractor bids.

  • Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams for cost inputs and clarifications.

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.

  • Prepare tender clarifications, exclusions, and assumptions.

  • Maintain a database of cost benchmarks, material rates, and supplier pricing.

  • Assist in post-tender negotiations and handover to the project execution team..

Qualifications & Requirements


Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management.

  • 5–10 years of estimation experience in UAE/GCC, preferably with contractors or fit-out companies.

  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and UAE market rates.

  • Proficiency in estimation software, AutoCAD, and MS Excel (advanced level).

  • Experience in preparing BOQs as per standard methods of measurement (POMI / CESMM preferred).

  • Good understanding of contracts, commercial terms, and tendering procedures.

  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and time management skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple tenders simultaneously under tight deadlines..
