Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead the development of accurate cost estimates for projects by analyzing project specifications, drawings, and scope of work.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to understand project requirements and adjust estimates accordingly.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential cost overruns and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Maintain a database of historical cost data to enhance the accuracy of future estimates.
- Oversee the estimation team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all estimation processes.
- Review and approve final estimates before submission to ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Utilize advanced estimation software and tools to streamline processes and improve accuracy.
- Prepare and present detailed proposals and cost breakdowns to stakeholders, ensuring clarity and transparency.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, with a preference for candidates with advanced degrees.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst (CCEA) or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Proven experience in large-scale projects, demonstrating advanced knowledge of estimation techniques and tools.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools, such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project, is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages is a plus, especially in multicultural environments.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
