Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Experience Required: 10–15 Years
Industry: Joinery / Fit-Out / Wood Manufacturing
The Estimation & Tendering Manager will lead the full estimation and tendering cycle for joinery and woodwork projects, ensuring accurate costing, competitive proposals, and timely submissions. The ideal candidate brings deep technical knowledge in joinery production, excellent commercial awareness, and proven experience within the GCC market.
Key Responsibilities
Estimation & Costing
- Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for joinery, bespoke furniture, millwork, and high-end interior fit-out packages.
- Analyze drawings, material specifications, and project requirements to produce accurate BOQs and cost breakdowns.
- Coordinate with engineering, production, and procurement teams to verify material prices, labor rates, and production timelines.
- Develop cost models, pricing strategies, and value engineering solutions to enhance competitiveness.
Tendering & Proposal Management
- Manage the full tendering process including tender review, pricing strategy, documentation, and submission.
- Prepare high-quality technical and commercial proposals in line with client requirements.
- Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and tender clarifications.
- Ensure compliance with client specifications, industry standards, and internal capabilities.
Market & Client Engagement
- Maintain updated knowledge of GCC joinery market rates, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Build strong relationships with consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
- Coordinate with business development to identify tender opportunities and market trends.
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Supervise junior estimators, assigning tasks and ensuring accuracy of estimates.
- Improve internal processes, templates, and cost databases.
- Provide strategic input on project risks, opportunities, and win strategies.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred).
- 10–15 years of experience in estimation and tendering specifically for joinery / millwork / fit-out projects.
- Strong experience working in the GCC region with understanding of local standards, suppliers, and pricing.
- Proficiency in estimation tools, AutoCAD, MS Office, and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proven track record of winning tenders and delivering accurate cost submissions.
