Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities


We are seeking an experienced Estimator with a minimum of 2 -5 years of UAE experience in the construction industry. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing tender documents, and supporting the commercial team in securing projects. The role requires strong knowledge of local market rates, materials, and subcontractor pricing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze tender documents, drawings, and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.
  • Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost breakdowns, and pricing schedules.
  • Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations.
  • Conduct material take-offs and verify quantities from drawings.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams for pricing strategies.
  • Identify cost risks, value engineering opportunities, and competitive pricing methods.
  • Maintain a database of market prices, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and submit tender documents and proposals in line with client requirements.
  • Support management in contract negotiations and project cost control.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and UAE tendering regulations.

Desired Candidate Profile


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering / Quantity Surveying / Construction Management.
  • Minimum 5 years of UAE experience as an Estimator in contracting or construction.
  • Strong knowledge of local market rates, BOQs, and tendering procedures.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software, e.g., Candy, CostX, or similar.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tender deadlines.
