Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough analysis of project plans and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Identify and quantify all necessary materials, labor, and overhead costs associated with projects.
- Prepare detailed bid proposals and present findings to clients and stakeholders, effectively communicating value propositions.
- Review and analyze bids from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring they align with project requirements and budget.
- Assist in post-project evaluations to assess the accuracy of estimates and identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain organized and detailed records of estimates, revisions, and project specifications for future reference.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to clarify project scope and timelines, ensuring alignment on expectations.
Desired Candidate Profile
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in estimating within the construction industry is essential.
- Experience with both commercial and residential projects, showcasing versatility in various estimating scenarios.
- Strong analytical skills, with a keen ability to interpret complex project documents and specifications.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and present estimates clearly.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a critical eye for accuracy and potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are a plus for diverse project environments.
