Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Tendering & Estimation
- Review drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project scope.
- Prepare detailed asphalt quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
- Estimate production costs (bitumen, aggregates, fuel, manpower, plant & equipment).
- Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations for materials and transport.
- Prepare commercial proposals for internal and external customers.
Cost Calculation & Coordination
- Calculate plant production cost (per ton/m²).
- Estimate site transportation and machinery usage.
- Prepare profit & loss projections and update rates based on market changes.
- Coordinate with operations, procurement, finance, and QA/QC teams.
Documentation & Project Support
- Prepare formal quotations, pricing sheets, and tender submissions.
- Maintain cost databases and track bid outcomes.
- Support project teams with planning, variations, and mix design costing.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in asphalt estimation or road construction.
- Strong knowledge of asphalt production and paving operations.
- Excellent MS Excel and analytical skills.
- Ability to interpret drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.
