Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
At PwC, you will focus on designing and building data infrastructure and systems to enable efficient data processing and analysis. You will be responsible for developing and implementing data pipelines, data integration, and data transformation solutions.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Data Migration Planning and Execution:
Devise comprehensive data migration strategies that align with business objectives and project timelines.
Execute data migration tasks, including extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
Systems Analysis and Integration:
Analyze existing data structures and design efficient processes for data migration considering system differences.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integrated data flows and optimized performance across environments.
Data Mapping and Validation:
Perform thorough data mapping and validation activities to verify data consistency and accuracy during migration.
Develop automated validation scripts to ensure data quality post-migration.
Technical Documentation and Support:
Create detailed technical documentation of data migration processes, mapping schemas, and data models.
Provide ongoing support and troubleshoot issues related to data migration, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Performance Optimization:
Identify opportunities to improve data migration processes, enhancing efficiency and reducing execution time.
Implement performance tuning techniques to optimize data transfer rates and system resources.
Compliance and Security:
Ensure all data migration activities comply with data governance, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
Implement data protection practices to secure sensitive and proprietary information during migration activities.
Desired Candidate Profile
Preferred Knowledge and Experience:

Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of data migration projects involving various technologies and systems.
- Proficiency in using data migration tools and technologies such as Informatica, Talend, or similar solutions.
- Strong Knowledge in Python and scripting
- Basic Knowledge in Cloud service providers : AWS/Azure/GCP

Database and SQL Skills:
- Advanced SQL scripting skills to efficiently manage data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
- Familiarity with data modeling, database design principles, and relational database management systems (RDBMS).

Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:
- Excellent analytical skills to assess complex data structures and identify optimal solutions for data migration challenges.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve migration-related issues promptly.

Communication and Collaboration:
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment and leading data migration initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- years of experience in data migration, data integration, or related fields.
- Relevant certifications in data migration tools will be considered a plus
