The Job Description

1. Design and implement data ingestion pipelines and ETL processes using SSIS, Informatica BDM, or native tools to meet functional and non-functional business requirements.
2. Create and manage data workflows in orchestration tools such as Control-M to ensure scalability, optimize data delivery, and automate manual processes.
3. Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across all systems, enabling trusted data for decision-making.
4. Develop complex T-SQL and PL/SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts for data transformation and integration.
5. Monitor performance and recommend configuration or infrastructure changes to improve efficiency and reliability.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve high-impact data issues through in-depth analysis of business and system processes.
7. Design logical and physical data models to support enterprise data architecture.
8. Establish and enforce standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation of ETL solutions.
9. Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple functions to understand business processes and data requirements.
10. Support enterprise ETL and BI developers in development and troubleshooting data-related issues; advise on efficient data extraction for reporting and analytics.
    

    Required Qualifications:
    

• 8 10 years of experience in ETL development and data engineering, preferably with SSIS, Informatica BDM,
• SSAS, SQL Server, Oracle, and semi/unstructured data.
• Proven experience in solution engineering, data modeling, and operations.
• Hands-on experience with orchestration tools (e.g., Control-M) and data quality frameworks.
• Familiarity with Hadoop distributions (Cloudera, MapR, Hortonworks) is a plus.
• Strong T-SQL and PL/SQL skills; ability to optimize and tune queries and ETL jobs.
• ETL Tools: SSIS, Informatica BDM.
• Databases: SQL Server, Oracle, Vertica, NoSQL.
• Data Modeling: Logical and physical modeling.
• Big Data & Cloud: Cloudera, Azure, Snowflake, HDFS, Spark.
• BI Tools: Microsoft Power BI, IBM Cognos.

Preferred Certifications (Optional):

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate.
• Informatica Cloud/BDM Professional.
