Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
1. Parts Management & Inventory Control
Maintain accurate inventory of EV spare parts (battery components, controllers, inverters, motors, charging modules, wiring harnesses, etc.).
Monitor stock levels and reorder parts as required to prevent shortages or overstocking.
Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies.
Ensure proper storage of sensitive EV components (especially lithium-ion battery parts).
2. Parts Sourcing & Procurement
Coordinate with OEMs and authorized suppliers for genuine EV parts.
Raise purchase orders and track delivery schedules.
Negotiate pricing and ensure cost-effective procurement where applicable.
3. Technical Support & Coordination
Assist service technicians in identifying correct parts using EPC (Electronic Parts Catalog).
Interpret part numbers, technical diagrams, and manufacturer manuals.
Coordinate with service advisors to ensure parts availability for scheduled jobs.
4. Customer Handling & Sales
Attend to walk-in and workshop customers for parts inquiries.
Provide accurate quotations and explain warranty coverage on EV components.
Promote genuine parts and accessories to enhance vehicle performance and safety.
5. Documentation & Compliance
Maintain records of inward/outward parts movement.
Ensure warranty parts are processed as per OEM guidelines.
Follow safety procedures for handling high-voltage EV components.
Desired Candidate Profile
Required Qualifications
Diploma/ITI/Bachelor’s degree in Automobile Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
2–5 years experience in automobile spare parts (EV experience preferred).
Knowledge of EV systems (battery packs, BMS, motor controllers, chargers).
Familiarity with inventory management software and MS Excel.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
Understanding of high-voltage safety standards in EVs.
Experience with ERP/DMS systems.
Ability to read technical drawings and parts catalogs.
Customer service orientation.
