Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect all evening dresses and couture pieces at each production stage (cutting, stitching, finishing).
  • Ensure all garments meet the atelier s quality standards before delivery or showroom placement.
  • Identify defects, inconsistencies, or finishing issues and communicate effectively with the production team.
  • Maintain and refine quality control checklists, protocols, and workflows.
  • Train new team members on quality standards and inspection processes.
  • Collaborate with pattern makers, tailors, and embroiderers to resolve quality issues promptly.
  • Approve or reject completed garments based on quality criteria.
  • Document recurring issues and recommend improvements to prevent future errors.
  • Conduct spot checks throughout the production cycle.
  • Ensure all embellishments (beading, embroidery, lace) meet couture finishing standards.
  • Oversee garment steaming, final finishing, and packaging standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

Previous experience in a couture atelier, fashion house, or high-end garment production environment.

Strong knowledge of garment construction, stitching, finishing techniques, and fabric types.

Exceptional attention to detail and high standards of workmanship.

Ability to identify flaws quickly and guide corrective actions.

Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with creative and technical teams.

Experience managing or training junior team members is a plus.
