Job Description

The role of an Events Assistant is pivotal in ensuring the seamless execution of events and exhibitions. This position involves collaborating with the events team to facilitate the planning, organization, and implementation of various events, which can range from corporate gatherings to large conventions. As an Events Assistant, you will participate in the entire event lifecycle, ensuring every detail is accounted for and executed with precision. An eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are crucial for success in this position. Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning and organization of events from inception to completion.
  • Coordinate logistics with vendors, venues, and all event-related service providers.
  • Support event registration processes and manage attendee lists efficiently.
  • Assemble and distribute promotional materials and swag bags for events.
  • Maintain effective communication and act as a liaison between stakeholders.
  • Oversee event setup, execution, and teardown in accordance with plans.
  • Provide on-site assistance during events to ensure smooth operation.
  • Assist in the management of budgets and monitor event expenditures.
  • Evaluate events post-completion for feedback and improvement purposes.
  • Research and propose innovative ideas to enhance event experiences.
  • Handle administrative tasks to support the events team as required.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations during events.

Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field.
  • Previous experience in event planning or a related role is preferable.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
  • Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for event travel.
