Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

As an Excavator Operator at KILONEWTONS, you will be responsible for:

  • Operating heavy excavators and other machinery to perform tasks including excavation, trenching, grading, and material handling with precision.
  • Reading and interpreting site plans, grade stakes, and GPS systems to ensure accurate digging depths and slopes.
  • Conducting thorough pre-start inspections and performing basic maintenance and cleaning on the equipment, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
  • Strictly adhering to all KILONEWTONS and site-specific Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols, ensuring a safe work zone for yourself and others.
  • Collaborating effectively with ground crew, surveyors, and site supervisors to understand task requirements and execute work efficiently.
  • Ensuring the excavator is always positioned on stable and level ground, using appropriate mats or tracks as required.
  • Loading trucks with exact quantities of materials and assisting with site drainage and leveling work.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized machine and work area.

Desired Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of professional excavator operation experience, with specific and verifiable experience in the Gulf region (GCC).
  • Proficiency in operating various sizes and models of excavators for different construction applications.
  • A valid, heavy equipment operator license/certification relevant to the GCC region.
  • An impeccable safety record and a deep-rooted commitment to workplace safety protocols.
  • The ability to read and understand civil drawings and site plans.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
