Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Objective

1. Revenue Forecast and portfolio optimisation - for mixed portfolio of RE, GH2, GH2 derivatives, ESCO projects all based on a Probability of Success approach

2. In-the-Money Modelling – modelling the specific projects to understand learning curve trends in cost reduction and determining the future date the project becomes cash-positive, given an understand of market willingness to pay.

3. Manpower Modelling (based constraints and the outcomes of 1&2)

4. User Interface- If the above is successful, we may would consider building an App / SAAS out of the above to ensure we have robust tool with a UI for easy future use.

Desired Candidate Profile

· Structured Thinking and ability to produce clear understandable and easy to use Excel Models.

· Experience in financial modelling of Energy / Infrastructure projects) – there is a huge advantage in techno-economic modelling Green Hydrogen plant, Renewable Energy, BESS projects. Understanding of WACC, Risk Free Rate etc.

· Mathematical Knowledge – must have STEM[1]degree (preferably Masters-Level) - must of knowledge of regression, optimisation, stochastic modelling, forecasting

· Understanding of the components on Levelized Cost of Hydrogen (LCOH) including Levelized Cost of Electricity (LCOE)

· Ability to work in a team of mixed experience – interns to Vice Presidents. We have an existing Power BI expert so this role must be able to collaborate effectively.

· Ability to conduct research into related topics and familiarity with Energy Data sources – IEA, Energy Institute, BNEF etc.

· Advanced User of Excel including Python in Excel - Most have at least 8 years of advanced Excel experience which include most of the following: -

o Multi parameter models, exploring trade-offs and finding optima, in Excel

o Scenario and What if Analysis in Excel

o Use of Named Tables and Arrays in Excel

o Use of Dynamic Arrays in Excel

o Mathematical understanding, and ability to conduct, Monte Carlo Simulation

o Experience with Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, and Seaborn inside Excelwithout external add-ins.

o Create charts and analytics in Python that render inside Excel cells or sheets. Familiarity with spilling results from Python code into Excel

o Data cleaning and Data Quality Checking
