Roles and Responsibilities

1. Project Execution

  • Execute and supervise all civil works at site as per approved drawings, specifications, and project schedule.
  • Monitor daily civil construction activities including excavation, foundation, RCC, structural, blockwork, plastering, finishing, waterproofing, and external development.
  • Coordinate with MEP, HVAC, Firefighting, and Electrical teams to ensure smooth multidisciplinary progress without interface conflicts.
  • Verify line, level, and dimension accuracy during construction and ensure work is executed within tolerance limits.
  • Ensure implementation of data center-specific civil standards including raised floor loading, vibration control, and precision tolerances.

2. Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Ensure that all civil materials and workmanship conform to project QA/QC standards, method statements, and inspection test plans (ITPs).
  • Conduct joint inspections with consultants and QA/QC engineers; prepare inspection requests (IRs), material submittals (MARs), and non-conformance reports (NCRs) as applicable.
  • Verify that construction complies with KSA Building Codes, Civil Defense, and Municipality regulations.
  • Support testing and commissioning readiness through civil clearances and punch list closures.

3. Planning & Coordination

  • Review drawings and identify technical discrepancies or constructability issues, escalating them to the Project Manager for resolution.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for civil works.
  • Coordinate with procurement and stores for material requirement forecasting and timely availability.
  • Support subcontractor managementreview daily progress, manpower, and productivity.
  • Liaise with safety officers to ensure civil activities are conducted under full HSE compliance.

4. Cost & Resource Control

  • Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, materials, and equipment to achieve cost efficiency.
  • Assist in verifying and certifying subcontractor bills and site measurements.
  • Monitor wastage, resource usage, and propose corrective actions where required.

5. Documentation & Handover

  • Maintain up-to-date as-built drawings, inspection records, concrete pour cards, and material delivery notes.
  • Support project closeout activities including preparation of snag lists, final inspections, and handover documentation.

6. Safety & Site Discipline

  • Enforce safety protocols and promote a culture of safe work practices among all site workers.
  • Ensure barricading, signage, PPE usage, and housekeeping standards are maintained on site.
