Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking an Executive Producer to join our King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture.
King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture is responsible for delivering world-class cultural, educational, and creative experiences that enrich society and inspire curiosity, creativity, and knowledge. Through its Performing Arts unit, the Center develops and delivers theater, film, and multidisciplinary programs that support artistic development, cultural exchange, and audience engagement.
Your primary role is to lead the planning, execution, and administration of the Center's annual theater program, ensuring productions, events, and activities are delivered to high artistic, operational, and financial standards. The role supports cross-functional collaboration, oversees budgets and schedules, and ensures alignment with the Center's programming vision and objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and delivery of theater productions, events, and activities.
- Develop strategic and operational plans, scopes of work, contracts, and agreements to support program delivery.
- Manage internal and external resources, contractors, and partners to ensure effective execution of theater programs and services.
- Maintain the multi-year theater calendar and budget, ensuring alignment with program priorities and financial accountability.
- Lead and manage the producing team, while supporting team development and promoting a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Identify and develop opportunities for new works and artistic initiatives that support the Center's reputation and audience engagement.
- Oversee production costs, revenue targets, and coordination with marketing activities to support financial sustainability and program success.
- Ensure compliance with planning, scheduling, approval, and governance processes.
- Monitor project milestones, manage risks, and maintain project documentation and reporting requirements.
- Facilitate coordination and communication across internal stakeholders and external partners to support successful delivery.
- Continuously improve producing processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Represent the Center with industry stakeholders locally, regionally, and internationally.
Desired Candidate Profile
You will hold a Bachelor's degree from a recognized and approved program in performing arts, arts administration, theater production, event management, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
You will have 15 years of experience in the performing arts, entertainment, or live events industry, including at least 10 years in a senior producing or leadership role.
- You will have strong experience in theater operations and a broad understanding of production types, including drama, dance, concerts, opera, and special events.
- You will have a proven track record in managing large-scale and multidisciplinary productions.
- You will have experience in strategic planning, budgeting, and resource management.
- You must have strong leadership and team management skills.
- You will be able to demonstrate strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- You will have the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively under pressure.
- You must have strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- You will have proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other relevant digital tools.
- Experience working in a multicultural environment is preferred.
- A strong commitment to artistic excellence and audience experience is required
